In 1910, when two trains stopped near the town of Wellington, WA due to heavy snows, they had no idea what was in store for them. After being stranded for six days, the two trains and all of their passengers went careening down the mountainside when the accumulated snow above the trains finally became too heavy. Only 23 people survived out of over 100 passengers and crew.
