CNN’s Anderson Cooper uses a schizophrenia simulator to see how difficult it is to lead a normal life with this terrible mental illness.
Experiencing Schizophrenia is like hearing multiple people whisper to you the whole time. The voices are simultaneously comforting and aggressive. The chorus of criticism generates paranoia and makes you feel completely isolated. You don’t want to engage real people around you, other than the voices in your head.
