The Internet can be a great tool, but using it too much could be affecting your ability to focus and remember.
The Internet is a great resource and is really useful in a lot of ways, but it can get in the way or our ability to learn. Because the Internet provides so many distractions, we never get the chance for focused thought. The problem is that “focused thought time” is the best time for us to learn. Without the time to put things into our long term memory, we end up using our brains like another computer, searching for information and then forgetting it quickly. If you want to be able to learn and make connections, spending some time away from the distractions of the Internet and instead focusing on a single topic or task is the way to go.
