Bahen & Co. eschews modern cocoa plants and searches for heirloom genetics in places as far away as Southeast Asia and Madagascar. The company also sources its cocoa beans directly from farmers, so they can ensure the quality of the beans. Bahen & Co. uses vintage chocolate making equipment and only two basic ingredients, cacao and cane sugar, to make its chocolate.
