Let’s talk about something awkward – caveman sex. The SciShow looks at the sex lives of our prehistoric ancestors. Surprisingly, they were quite liberal with their love life.

Video Summary

Our early ancestors likely interbred with some other species. Early Homo sapiens were actually able to create viable offspring with Neanderthals. Even through Neanderthals died out 40,000 years ago, they live on in us. About one to four percent of human DNA is Neanderthal DNA. Also, our ancestors may have had sex with gorillas. We know this because the genome of human pubic lice is very similar to the lice that lives on gorillas.
